The Beach Video
A video from the beach.
December 31. Second day in Pattaya. Or actually not Pattaya. Jomtian Beach. Outside Pattaya, south of Pattaya.
Woke up early. 7 o’clock. Time for breakfast.
Then. The Beach. Again. But we didn’t bring the camera in the morning, so, no pictures. Sorry.
After the morning beach we went to a zoo. It was not a zoo - only. It was a park with old stones. And a zoo. Like many things at the same time.
So they had animals there. See?
That was a dog. A very nice dog. More animals later. But first. The stones. And flowers. They had a lot of flowers.
They said the stones were many hundreds of years old. That is a lot. Compared to me. I am only one. The flowers were not that old.
More than one I guess, but not hundreds.
They also had some tress that turned into stone. Don’t ask. I have no idea how that works.
That is a stone elephant. They had real ones too. But the picture of the real one is not so good. So you have to believe me on that.
Then there were lots and lots of birds. The parrots scared me. Too noicy. The peacocks were nice. A cow and some horses too. But those pictures are not here with me, so I can not show you.
I can show you one other animal. Scary. Scary. Crocodiles.
They had many, many crocodiles. And a crocodile show too. But we didn’t want to see that. What if they bite the man when I see?
No, better not watch that.
They had tigers too. Do you know how bad tigers smell? Very! So no tiger pictures.
OK, after the zoo - BEACH!!!
First, a little fun in the sand.
Then, one last swim before the sun went down.
I went to bed already at seven. Mom and dad thought I would sleep all nigt. But, I had different plans.
I knew something was going on. Something special. So I woke up again at nine. Then, after a while, I knew I was right.
It was special. Fireworks. Everywhere. We saw everything from our room. So many fireworks. For hours.
It was very beautiful. And one good thing was that no sound. I don’t like the loud noice of fireworks. But I like to watch them.
And I watched and watched. Until one o’clock. Then I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. That was a good New Year’s Eve.
Now I have to wait one more year for the next. Then I will be two years old. Time flies.
I just came back home to Bangkok yesterday, but I already want to go back to the sea. To swim some more. And play with the sand. There was a lot of sand to. Everywhere. Also in the water. Or under the water. Sand. Sand is fun. But water is better.
I hope I don’t have to wait until next new year… Please mom…. please dad. I can’t wait that long. You know, one year is a lifetime. For me anyway.
I just came to think about years. I am only one year old. And one month. But I have already lived in three years. 2006, 2007 and now 2008. Strange.
Over this New Year we went to Jomtian Beach. Outside Pattaya. You can swim there. Look.
I am taking a bath in Jomtian in Pattaya.
That is what you are supposed to do when you go to the beach. Water is important at the beach. Water is what it is all about.
So I took a bath.
No… I am only joking with you. This was after the beach. To get rid of all the sand. And the salt
This is the beach.
I like the beach. So much water. Much more than in the shower at home.
Water everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE. The shower is fun, but the sea, the ocean, that is really something special.
The first day we only went to swim one time. In the morning. Just after we arrived.
After swimming for a loooooong time we went up again. Dad said “Sjön suger”. I do not agree with him. I think it is the best. It doesn’t suck at all. Maybe I misunderstood him. I don’t know all the swedish words yet.
Then I got very hungry. So we ordered some food.
Then I got so tired so I fell asleep in the hotel room. Swimming makes you tired. That sucks. I want to stay there all day.

When I woke up it was to late to go back and swim that day.
So we went for a walk instead.

On the way home I managed to talk my parents into taking me down to the beach one more time. No swimming. Only looking.
That was the first day at the beach. More to come.

We went on a short holiday last weekend. Because mom and dad had Monday off. Constitution day. Confusing day. Anyway.
Khao Yai.
That is a big mountain. A long sleep from Bangkok.
My mom’s friend from work has a house there. Or, a relative of his has a house there. Where we could stay. Nice of him.
My mom’s friends went there on Saturday, but we came Sunday, because dad had a meeting with some japanese people on Saturday.
The house we stayed in was very nice. On the top of a hill. With great views. I never saw the mountains before. I liked it.
I could sleep in the bed and see the mountains from the bedroom. Nice. Better than Bangkok. It was almost like in Sweden. Cooooool and nice. Not hot as at home.
After checking the view from the balcony I went out to take a walk around the house. This is outside our bedroom.
After relaxing and walking around it was time for some activities. Slipper throwing.
I stole my fathers slipper when he looked the other way. I could throw it very far. See how it flies.
Then we went inside. Here I am with mom and my new birthday doll I got as a present from my mom’s friend Pam last week on my first ever birthday. You can also see the back of the only other girl in the house.
I mean except me and mom. I can’t remember her name. But she was nice. Her boyfriends name was Bin. But he couldn’t fly. I think Bin means fly in Thai. Or maybe basket. I don’t know.
In the evening we had barbacue. I got to eat spareribs too. That was tasty. Then I went to sleep and I woke up really early on Monday morning. Before everybody else. We had to wait very long before the others woke up.
I played some football while I was waiting.
Then it was time to go back home again. I helped to carry the bread back to the car.
I don’t like hats. So I threw it away. Dad had to pick it up 10 times.
Before we went back we stopped at a place near Khao Yai where they make wine. I don’t drink wine. But I liked the grapes. Mom bought some. I ate some.
It was very expensive. The wine. So I tried to change the prices a bit. Then I walked away. Doing something else. So they wouldn’t get angry with me. I don’t think they like to get the prices changed.
That was two very nice days in the mountains. I hope we can go again. My parents said that we will go again. But not to stay in this house. Maybe only one day. To the national park. To the real Khao Yai. I will tell you if we go.
